Default lowering 09 flhr

ok i put up with it for a year but i need to lower the bike. called the dealer around a grand for a 2" lower. then i saw

slam lowering kit on ebay $50 bucks.
anyone tried this?
i ride mainly 2 up highway total 400lb with bags full and t bag

Those cheesie lowering kits aren't the way to go unless you like listening to the tire grinding against the wire loom and the top of the fender.
2" lowering kit's of any kind leave you very little travel in the suspension especially riding 2 up.

I'd be very wary about lowering 2 inches. I initially lowered my 09 FLHRC 1-1/2 inches in the back with Progressive 11-1/2" 440's and 1 inch in the front with Progressive fork springs lowering kit. With the added stiffness of the 09 frame, I found the road vibration to be intolerable. Can't imagine how stiff it would be going down 2 inches. I replaced the 11-1/2" 440's with 12" and the ride improved some. Still much stiffer than my 07 FLHRS with 12" 440's.

Still have the 11-1/2" 440's if you are interested.
