I use the HD factory dash kit on my 08 Ultra, nice and clean! Have the ram mount, Tech mount, and Zumo mounts on my other bikes... All will do the job just comes down to personal preference.
+1 on the RAM mount. I have tried tank mount, windshield mount and on the fairing and then finally went with the RAM mount on the handle bar and love it. Not too far to look away and no vibration when riding. I use it with my Zumo.
Thanks for the part #, I just ordered one. My 660 should be in this week, I currently have the U-Bolt holding my ram mount, but I like the looks of this one. Looking forward to installing on Friday with some pics.
Glad that worked out for you. The Forum is such a great tool for stuff like this; I find so much good information here.
Well, I hate to say this, but I just got my mount and I think the retailer you suggested is falsley advertising a mount for my GPS unit. There is no way the thing they sent me can hold my GPS despite being pictured as doing so. I am pretty pissed off right now too.
Hold the phone……the Mountguys.com responded to my inquiry almost immediately and informed me that the top arm is spring loaded. DOH! LOL I have never seen one of these work and had no idea. Some directions would have been nice.
I’m pumped! This thing looks so freakin’ cool mounted in between my risers!
