That pretty much sucks there Dawg.
I feel for ya man.
On your project you got going, if I can help out just shoot a pm.
I've got a bunch of misc. building, electrical, plumbing stuff kicking around if you can use anything. It would do me good to get rid of stuff that's been laying around for too long anyways.
Hell, if you could use an extra pair of hands for awhile, I ain't that busy right now meself.
Dawg, sorry to hear about your layoff. Things are pretty hard right now but as previously stated with as someone as sharp as you should come out of it well. I went thru a layoff of my full time gig after 16 years for the same company and 18 1/2 years in the industry and moved across the country and switched industries and so far it has turned out better. Keep your head up and attitude open and it will work out. Our local dealer just close his second dealership about a hour south because of how things are right now. We really appreciate all that you contribute to this forum. Good Luck!
Sorry to hear that, dawg, but guess it's just a sign of the times. Our plant is owned by the French (dammit), and they told us a month ago they've decided to close it rather than sell it -- makes good sense, right, and they even had three offers. At least it will take over 2 years to transfer products out and another year to decommission the plant, but I'm 58 now, so I won't be the ideal age to find another engineering job. Did I say I work for the damn French? OTOH, there are a lot of folks out there now who've lost their total income, so I'm grateful for what I have. Hope it all works out for you, dawg. Hope it works out for all of us!
