Motorcycle Transport Services & Recommendations???
Has anyone had a Touring motorcycle transported for them and do you have any recommendations on reliable companies?
Having heard both good and not so good stories on transport companies, I thought I would send up a flare.
Who is good and who is not so good at providing the service?
Obviously, pictures before shipping with a signed condition statement, understanding the shipping companies damage policy and a copy of the shippers insurance policy to verify it to be in effect are a good idea.
What are some other things to do when arranging long distance shipping on bikes?

Bob,
I bought my bike on ebay (seller is from PA and I am in CA). Had it shipped by Allied/Federal for under $500 (insured, extra coverage for a few $$ more). Bike was loaded onto a pallet and strapped, loaded/transported in an enclosed trailer and you get e-mail notices to apprise you of the bike's trip. It was in my driveway in less than a week....and it was unscathed!
