Is this the air temp sensor on a 09?

It looks like it could be,On my 09 it is white and mounted on the left inner fairing support.

On my 07 it was white and mounted on the fairing support. I heard on the 08's and later they was mounted somewhere around the triple tree. The pic I have posted is the left side of the steering neck.

Oh come on...everybody wants to know it's 95 on the gauge when it's actually 80 outside.

The 09 seems to be fairly acurate, going down the road. The one on my 08 always read somewhere around 110 degree.

I am still trying to figure out why it is even on the bike to start with. I can tell when it is too cold to ride just my walking outside. I would rather see an oil temp gauge in that location.
