*It's all plug and play design. Very simple installatoin be removing your side cover ( I already had the seat off but didn't need to ) The stealership , if you know someone, will plug it up for nothing. Otherwise the instructs are not bad. I have the Smart siren and pager 2 from HD. It so far works well.
What he said. My Classic did not have security when I bought it so I had to put a tssm on it and the dealer needs to calibrate that. Once that was done the smart siren and pager were easy...
I have a 2006 RK Standard that came with the HD security system. I wanted to also install the Smart Siren II and so last weekend I did just that. It is a very simple process and takes about 20 min. It's a simple plug in. I then ran the antenna up along the frame just under the seat.I have not got the pager yet and am going to hold off. I'm not really sure if I need the pager or not ...time will tell,,,,I did not want to spend the money if I was not going to get good use out of it. However, the reason I went with the Smart II siren is because it is compatible with the pager if I ever want to go the pager route.
Through Zanotti Motors the TSSM (Turn Signal Security Module) is 180, the smart siren II module is 70 and the Pager that works with the smart siren II is 54.
I don't think you have to go through the dealer to sync the tssm to the ECM. There is a procedure I read somewhere that expalined what to do...it was a matter of ignition on-off and hitting turn signals in a specific sequence...Here is a link to the forum topic that covers this TSSM Sync
