O.K. guys, I traded my 07 RG in for an 09. I liked my 07 because for tall guys it seemed a little more stretched out in leg room and less clautrophobic than the close in bat wing.
Now, the 09 seems to lose some of that leg room as well as sit you up a little higher. I don't mind the higher seating position but I really notice the reduction in leg room? Any thoughts or suggestions?? Do the floorboard extenders solve this problem? Do I need to change the seat... I had a sundowner on my 07.
Geez, I never noticed (maybe because I am 5'9") I have an 07 FLHT that is very comfortable for me. Sitting on a 2010 here in the shop I find I am pretty comfortable with the stock seat & bars wheras on my 07 I had to changed the bars & seat to make it work for me.
Hmmm... I was really looking for taller riders that have experience switching from an 07 to and 09 Road Glide... doesn't sound like you have the information I am looking for but thanks anyway.
I had a '07 Ultra, took the trunk and stock seat off then put a roadglide seat on, sold the bike and just bought a '09 streetglide (8 wks. ago) and felt just the oppsite, I'm 6.2
