I like to support forum vendors and I like to buy american.... But the difference in price is significant.
$200 vs $600
The reviews of this faring on ebay seem to be really positive.
Can someone who has seen them both provide a comparison between Woody's and the invicta fairings?
For that big of a cost difference I would expect the quality to be significantly better in both fit and finish.
Gimmie a break. $200 shipped from overseas and including dealer profit? Would you expect me to be selling $5 chaps, too? If you knew how little I made on each fairing after paying taxes and insurance you'd be as ashamed to ask that as I am disgusted to read it. Where do you work and what do you do for a living, if you don't mind me asking? As for the comparison, please don't bother, I wouldn't sell you a fairing at any price.

So a vendor wants me to spend 400 more bucks so HE can make a dollar. Yeah, thats unselfish.

How about No.

Or possibly trying to explain that I can't compete with someone in China with paid healthcare, no liability insurance, and a weekly paycheck of what you'd spend on a nice dinner. Don't forget to hang a nice Chinese-made American flag off the other end of the bike. This country's in good enough shape that there's no reason not to stand in line to send as much $$$ to China as quickly as possible.

I won't argue with you. Country is messed up. And because of that, we try to make our dollars last. 400 extra bucks for practically the same thing is a no brainer. It equals No.
The intent of the thread was not to hurt any HD Sponsor or bash anyone. I needed to save money and this was the fairing I selected. Suprisingly at the price it's a good fairing and I provided the forum with my review.
Manish Hawg, thanks for taking the time to post pictures and the feedback/review. When I priced out Dragon Fly at over 2K I thought a fairing was going to be more then what I wanted to spend. My next step is to price out paint and electronics.
Maybe if your reply to bradleys wasn't so inflammatory and negative, lp, might not have made the $400 remark. But then again, your right to free enterprise that enables the 400 dollar price difference also allows him the right of free speech. Amazing how FREEDOM allows us to do these basic two things!
Amazing your right to free speech also berated a forum member the right to question why he should pay 400 extra. I mean to a lot of people that can be a car payment or low house payment. And if you think all the parts you buy for YOUR Harley are made in the USA...you're sadly mistaken!
All this member wanted was a review of both products...nothing more than alot of forum members want so they can spend their dollars wisely. If you think that a sole member of society, or even the whole Harley family is selling our country down the drain...PLEASE...Look to our own government for selling us away....Not the average american!
But more importantly...We at the Forum are supposed to be helpful to each other! Not shooting ill meaning barbs at each other. Those that forget this basic thing we share here detract from those of us that really wanna make this a great site!
Chill out, talk to other members respectfully, Explain nicely, help them make an informed decision...MAYBE...they might spend that extra 400 when they see a huge difference in Quality of Product and Great Customer Service! Again, we're here to help...not point fingers or make another forum member look bad!
How can I say all this? Cause I'm the guy who's served his country for 28 plus years and continues to serve. Why? To help defend your basic freedoms to charge 400 extra ,throw barbs at other forum members, lp's right to bradleys and lp's right to question about price and quality! BUT...I hope you wouldn't treat all your potential customers that bad.
How can I say all this? Cause I'm the guy who's served his country for 28 plus years and continues to serve. I just can't see why when ya have about a million service members who defend our freedom...ya'll still can't get along and help each other out. It's bad enough when there are millions of others on earth that want our way of life dead because we have these basic freedoms and we still squander these rights...like with the statements ya made!
