....... never thought of this analogy before, but it is just right damned on target.

I have been riding a 07 EGC....just bought a 2010 Road Glide Custom...
as for comfort, the EGC is way more comfortable and the tour box is great..cool factor goes to the RG...as for the fairings, the RG will be more stable and I can say the RG handles way better, but that may be true of all 09/10 touring bikes with the new frame.

Have to ask yourself what you want out of the bike and what's you plans, if 2 up riding is going to be a lot, then I would go with the EGC or Ultra. If it's solo ( like me) then the RG or SG would be my choice...

But bottom line, your bike, your butt.....only you can decide which one is best for you.

As for the headlight not turning, that's about the biggest myth around, over 5 MPH no headlight turns with the bike, because you don't turn the handle bars...you lean the bike and counter steer....

I picked the Road Glide. My wife rides with me most of the time. We got the detachable Tour Pack and the detachable passenger back rest. I can strip the bike down for the cool factor when I am solo or set it up for day trips or long hauls when riding two up.
If I had to replace the bike I would get another Road Glide.
