What mods would you.........
purchase with a $5k budget.
If you had an 2006 Stock Screaming Eagle Ultra CVO???????
Does it come with floating rotors? Stainless braided cables and lines? Maybe a different set of wheels.
Exhaust, kuryaykn chrome inner primary cover, chrome headbolt bridges,Hog tunes, new mirrors, kuryaykn smoked pancera rear tailight and the rest I would use to pump up the engine to over 100h.p.
Thats not going to take a whole lot either since a stage one and good dyno tune will probably achieve that. Remember the CVO ultra has the 103" motor already. I wish I had this dilema.
Exhaust is your choice; Pro Pipe, Rinehart 2:1, Rinehart True Duals or V7H True Duals - I'd take the Rinehart TD! ($760)
S&S 585 Cams, Gears & Install Kit ($675) ; Crank Case Breather ($100); SE Pushrods ($110); Fuehling Tappets ($100); Labor ($450)
SERT ($399)
WTE Mentor ($399)
SE Air Box ($118)
True-Track ($355)
Labor
DynoTune ($250)
Install Mentor ($225)
R&R Exhaust ($150)
Install Air Box ($38)
Install True-Track ($112)
If you've ridden the 2006 SE 103 stock you will understand. After the above it will ride like it should! The SE is a sweet ride. Just a dog from the MOCO.
I have a friend that is still tweaking his but he's got it at 126 Torque and 119 HP. But that's a little more than $5K!
I separated the the Gear Driven Cam out as that is a 10 Torque/HP gain in itself. The WTE Mentor is a fuel processor that is a 3% Performance and mileage gain.
Think about it!
I wish I had that problem as well. I thought the Screaming Eagle just about had everything but the Kitchen Sink on it.
I've got a friend here locally that just bought an '06 Screaming Eagle that cost him $38K. What else do you need?

Do you think the bike has its own personality yet?
I personally like trying to give my bikes their own individual look. I like speed and torque also, but I like the feeling I get knowing I did it myself. I have had my '06 Ultra for about a month and a half. I am now in the middle of the stage 1/exhaust/PCIII upgrade. I can't wait to see how she performs. This is why I would never get a CVO model, anything you do would be like counter acting the idea of the SE model. When you start with stock you can get a better running and nicer looking bike (IMHO) for less.
I would suggest that you not just start bolting everything on. I see these guys who spend two hours with the "chrome specialist" the day they buy their bike, and pump another 10k into it. Sometimes the bike just looks like a rolling version of the HD catalog. They always seem to have that "poser" look to them.

It really helps to hear what others would do in this situation.
IMO what it needs
1. Chrome engine bolt kit.
2. More torque/power at 2500-3500 RPM range.
3. Rims all chrome.
4. get rid of - fried thighs & wifeys burning hot ankles.
Big boyz head porting would be perfect since you don't need major work. With head milling, I think they run $350.00.
A 2 into 1 or true dual pipe will eliminate those burning ankles on the wife too....Its that stock "Y" pipe crossover that puts the coals to you and your passenger.
