Opinions Wanted

I went to check out a painter to do my fairing who is well known for his work. He told me he does fairings all the time and had two he had just done. They were outstanding. Upon further inspection I noticed he puts his name right over where the head light would be. I thought HELL NAW. What are your thoughts?

I understand artist's wanting to sign their work. But wouldnt there be a more unobtrusive spot? Like the lower right corner as you were looking at the fairing. IMHO

Guess you could ask politely if there was a different place he would consider putting it. My guess is that he'd rather have the job than quibble over where he signs it.

Discuss it politely with him. He might just leave the sig off. If he won't, either look for another painter, or line up a pinstriper to cover his sig. before you put the part back on...........<shrug>

Just do the paint job then put some cool dayglo tape over his signature! J/K, don't get upset. Yeh, I agree with talkin with him about it. Might even ask if he'll give a discount since you'll be frequenting many MC Social Events thereby giving him free advertisement... (ok, that was another joke)
