I have the Rush slashdown w/2" Baffles. I have 12K miles on mine. They sound great and I don't care either if the baffles are worn, I like the thunder. not too loud and poppy.Just right! I ride with a guy who has Rineharts. I would buy the Rush with 2" again. My indy told me they are the same muffler. You just pay more for the tip on the Rinhart's. He said he uses the same mapping for both Mufflers.
I had them on my 07 ultra classic. got lots of compliments on the sound. I had the Vance and Hines true dual headers. bought the rush slip ons from fuel moto..will buy again or might try their new jackpots
Have Rush 2" slash cut on my 08 Ultra. Right one yellowed and Rush is in process of shipping a replacement. Also have the Stage one air kit on bike. Suggest you get your bike tuned to fit the mufflers & stage one kit because the muffler packing will literally burn away in about 2K-2.5K miles. Get it retuned should reduce some of the heat cause do to the bike running so lean with high flow air clearner and performance pipes. Not sure what I am going to do since the new pipe will probably yellow too if I do not get it race tuned.
I agree with everyone else. I have the Rush Slip Ons (#15305) with 2" Baffles on my 09' Street Glide and absolutely love them. Arlen Ness Big Sucker & HD Pro Super Tuner as well. The sound is perfect. Loud enough at idle to know it's not stock and plenty loud when you're on it. And quiet enough at highway speeds to enjoy the radio... Don't wait, Do it...
Well I just switched over to the dark side and bought an 09 SG with a ton of adds and Rush slips with SC Air cleaner K&N insert and the power commander 5. I am really happy wit them. They look great I like the 4 groove end cap on them and they are louder than my Dad's Vance and Hines on his 09 Screaming Eagle Ultra Classic. No complaints here yet but I've only had the new baby for 3 days! Now the Softail I bought 3 months ago needs to go on the market.
I started out with the 2.25" baffles, and switched to the 2.5" for the increased sound. I was told my performance would suffer, and I would get decel popping, but I haven't noticed any difference. This is my second bike with Rush mufflers and I have no complaints.
