Default break fluid

I did a search and couldn't find anything on this subject. So has anyone changed out their break fluid and if so how did you do it? Was it a difficult job, seems it would be easy but I've learned the hard way that some of the "easy" jobs were the most difficult.

Brake fluid is spelled BRAKE fluid. Try a search with that.

Open the reservoir, pump gently while opening a bleed valve. Use a clear plastic tube to route BRAKE fluid to a container. Keep enough fluid in the reservoir so that you don't pump air into the line. When the fluid at the bleed valve becomes clear you've changed the BRAKE fluid. Top off the reservoir & you're done.

I try to stick to either water or Gatorade when I need a break, it's the best way to hydrate.

Not sure how you're built, but I have a valve about halfway down my body that is used to drain fluids, among other things. I have to stand a little closer and stand a little longer than I did when I was a young lad, but it still works ok.

Harbor Freight and auto parts stores sell a break bleeder. It's a hand pump of sorts that you attach to the bleeder valve on the calipers. There is either a container attached or a hose that feeds the fluid into a remot container depending on which one you get. It will allow you to pull the brake fluid down and at same time replace with new fluid. This helps keep air from being trapped in the system which would require further bleeding of the system to remove the air pockets.

It can be messy so keep lots of shop rags or something to wipe spills up if hoses become disconnected.

This is a link to a few that HB sells. Again, you don't have to use these, I just put them here so you can see what I'm talkin about...

My break fluid is any brand of cold beer. It changes itself shortly after each break. I never change my brake fluid.

I would expect that typing isn't your job and a workorder has been placed to have the typist come type it. Since he spelled Brake incorrectly, you can file a grievance.

I change mine in the bike by using a syringe to suck out reservoir, then reverse bleeding. It doesn't get the stuff still in the lines, but its alot of it and I feel pretty good about it.
