Picked up an 05 flhti a little under a year ago.. Previous owner streetglided it out but with profile wheels. Lots of little mods, chome stuff, etc.
Pulled it apart to do apes a month ago; decided to go for it and pulled most everything I could off the motor, sent it to PC (fine textured black), front forks to PC satin, doing a full satin black paint job (painter is painting it as I type).
Should be pretty nice when done.. Ill post it up then, here is a picture of it now..
Oh yeah; supposed to be a Stage 3 95in motor in there; the more I tear into it; I'd call it a stage 2 with cams.. Needs headwork IMO.

Reason: picture add
I have a 02 FLHT. We bought it new and added the tour pack right away. For the money you just cannot beat it. With some of the suttle additions i have made along with my Wild Pigs, i think she has more charictor than all the more expensive rides. I have riden it to Key West, Nova Scotia and soon to Sturgis. The ole girl is a part of our family.
I just traded my 2002 FLHT for a 2009 FLHTP. I had turned my Standard into an Ultra Standard...Cruise, KingTP, heated grips, SE Air cleaner, jet kit, V&H slipons, Sony stereo and loads of oher stuff. I was able to work the trade so that I kept most of my adds for the new scoot. Given time, the 09 will be pretty much an Ultra as well. I had the cruise and heated grips installed by the dealer. I've put the V&H mufflers on and I'm working on the stereo installation, a breather & PCV.
09 on left, 02 on right.
I just picked up my 06' FLHTI three months ago. I couldn't be happier. As was said before, it's an excellent blank canvas. I can, have and will continue to make it mine through the years! Has most all the bling it needs. Will be looking for power/torque before to long
I have a black FLHT bought from a junk yard after somebody hit a Deer with it. I fixed and painted all the fiber glass. I was vary happy with the first test ride,IT was straight, I put 20,000 the last two summers here in michigan ,that's 10,000 ea summer, Ya know when I get rolling down the road It often occures to my that this bike is really comfortable and easy to put miles on. 44mpg. it had a tour pack, MP3 ,cruise, security, and radio, I felt like i got the great deal. basicly I woundered if I wouls like as much as my other ones and yep i do. Don waiting of the season to change.
do all the FLHT Standards have the gray engines? Any Sony radios made that fit real well? Will have to do my research.
What is a good price on an '07 FLHT standard that is clean, stage 1 and about 10k miles?
I see one I am looking at but with the market so soft I dont know if I should jump on it as I really dislike the look of the grey engine.

All Standards come with the gray engines. Mine was replaced with a black one.
For an 07 11-12 thousand would be a good price. Although with the bad economy you might do better. I have a Biketronics kit for a Sony stereo on mine.
