Can't say as I have. Never had a problem with our 02 RK. A thought though--do you have a throttle buddy on your twist grip? I do, and sometimes it's easy to let your palm move it.

The cure, PCIII/dyno tune, find out how the bike is really supposed to run!

Are you sure the surge is motor related, or is it just something you feel throughout the bike? I had a terrible surge on my brand new Wide Glide a few years back and the dealer insisted that I needed some pipes, air cleaner and download. I decided to check my primary chain and found that it had about twice the slack in it that it was supposed to have. Tightened it up and surge went away.

I have the same surge when I am slowing down right at 2200 to 2000. It will momentarilly speed up for just a second. I know it is there and I am used to it. I have the PCIII and have been dynotuned. Did not change. There are other maps where the surge is not there but they do not work as well as my custome tune. Surge does not bother me if I have to add fuel or run leaner to get rid of it.

It only happens to Jeff's.

had the same problem, dealer replaced the 8 degree fuel injectors with the 25 degree injectors. Problem went bye bye.

Do a search on the 25 degree injectors. it will tell you everything you need to know.

I had surging also plus some times just as you come to a stop and have to start right away it would stall. Dealer also said they could not duplicate and everything was allright. that was after my 1000 mile service. When I went back for next oil change I talked to the service guy and he went and got a service sup. we talked about the injectors. She said unless I was having cold start problems they were not going to change the injectors. I said that may not even be problem .( also running hot on rear head) but I wanted it fixed . Well she huffed up and got nasty and said they were not going to replace injectors. I saw head service manager come in to his office so I went and talked to him and told him my problems. He said no problem to order the injectors and install them to the service guy. Said they had been having to do alot of them.I was telling him that the bulletin does not say just cold start problems said it loud so the woman service advisor could here me. It says ( May cause cold start and/or driveability problems.
They replaced injectors on 6/27 and no problems so far.
