Question Quad ring part number

Pulled the clutch cover on my newly purchased 2005 FLHT. Didn't find the gasket I expected but a quad ring. Do anybody have a part number for this quad ring. In my parts manual the only thing mentioned is a gasket.

You can reuse it many times. I have at least 7 or 8 changes on mine. IT has never leaked or seaped.

The -99A pn# has long been obsolete. If you want to continue to use the o-ring style you will have to get a Genuine James Gasket o-ring from Drag Specialties. The 25416-99C is the full disc style. The newer 06 Dyna and 07 and later o-ring might fit, but I don't know how well it would seal because I believe the groove was changed on the newer derby covers.

Default variable pressure clutch

The "problem" is that I have a variable pressure clutch kit on my bike, so there is no space for the standard gasket. Think I have to use the quad ring or get a spacer for the variable pressure clutch kit.

I also have the VPC and it came with the oring. No reason to replace it for many changes. If you want to to use the new style gaskets you can just cut the center out of them so the VPC clears them. I have an 04 flhtc and it is the same set up as your 05.

Thumbs up Reuse dyna o-ring

Thanks mtclassic. As far as I can see I should be able to use the spare dyna o-rings (25416-99A) I have left.
I like the o-ring design and have had no problems in 7 years with it on my dyna.

Ditto on cutting out the center out of the gasket that goes between the VPP spacer and outer primary. Just hold the gasket up to the primary and lightly tap with a hammer around the INSIDE of the primary hole. You can continue tapping all the way around and around...until the center falls out or use a knife to cut along the scored edge.

I have a 5 pack of cometic disk gaskets with the center already removed. I have one left. These are just like cutting the center out of the full disk. That's what I used when I ran a VPC
