Default Boom! Audio Intercom Kit with Old CB Module?

Does anyone know if the new Boom! Audio and Music Intercom Kit - Part No. 77108-09 will work with 76236-06 (not 76416-06C)?

The 76236-06 CB module has been obsoleted which you probably already know. When I did my recent BAMI installation and had my HK head unit repaired by Iron Cross Audio before the installation, Tony, ICA's service manager and former HK service dept. employee, told me there were issues with the head unit/CB module compatibiity in the early years of the HK's introduction. I mention this because you should check with him before buying the obsoleted module, or installing it on your '08 bike. He's a very good guy and extremely knowledgeable about HK head unit development and issues:

As for the BAMI kit, it doesn't have anything to do with the CB module per se. It simply provides alternative locations for the rider and passenger headset connectors and the passenger PTT/vol. switch that HD previously offered and uses the same non-Ultra overlay harness for its connectors that is used for the Ultra style installation referenced in the description for the 76416-06C installation in the P&A book and HD's website.

You can also ask Tony about the CB module compatibility issue for the BAMI kit.

Bottom line--your real issue is whether to use the obsoleted CB module on your '08 bike (and the module's compatibility with your HK head unit); the BAMI kit won't care what CB module you have since it is simply providing alternative headset connectors for the rider and passenger, and a new switch location for the passenger PTT/vol. switch.

Good luck with your project.

Thanks for the help - that makes sense. I picked the module off eBay relatively inexpensive ($80). If it doesn't work, I'm sure I can resell.
