I got a 2006 EG in December. It now has about 8,000 miles on it & smokes whenever I crank the bike. Not a huge amount of smoke, but more than any other bike I've ever had. The engine, intake & exhaust is completely stock.
Anyone else experience this? Just wondering if this is normal before I take it in to the dealer.
It also depends on the color of the smoke. If it's black it is "normal" at start up acocrding to the techs. The bike enrichens the gas at start up and it'll produce a little black smoke. If it's light (grayish) colored smoke, it's oil and there is a problem. I'll know more about what the problem with mine was after the dealer gets done with it. Hoped to have it by Sunday, but no call yet.
