It also has the 110 c.u. Screamin Eagle engine kit. It has only 6,100 miles on it. Would I be crazy to swap even? I would be giving up heated seat and grips, XM radio, CB and navigation.
You'd also be giving up the following:
* Tour Pack - They ain't cheap to buy - around $800
* Rear lights on the above tour pack - Come in kind of handy if you make them brake lights also.
* Lowers - Helps keep those legs warm during the cold rides. You're already losing the heated seat & grips. Now you're going to have your legs getting cold too. To buy them for the SG, you're talking another $700(or more).
* Intercom - Okay, maybe not a big deal here.
* Better stereo & 4 speakers on the CVO - Again, maybe not a big deal.

Not sure of engine size on the 2007 CVO Ultra - 103 or 110? Some people claim the 103's came be dynoed and put out rather good numbers if someone knows what they are doing. I've also heard that with the 110, you can't do anything else(i.e. go to 113) without having to buy new cases. I could be wrong & someone can shed better light on this. With the 103, there is a large range of things you can do.

You also mention the 2008 SG has the following added:
painted inner fairing
chrome front end
chrome wheels
chrome floating rotors
every chrome accessory imagineable

Didn't those come standard on a CVO?

I have to agree with those that say a CVO will ALWAYS be a CVO. It will be worth more than a SG with added accessories because most dealers don't care about what accessories you've added.

This is why I love this forum. You guys don't pull any punches. Thanks to everyone who gave me their honest opinions and kept me from doing something that I would have probably regretted in the long run. I'm going to keep my CVO and ride happy. I guess it was obvious that I was struggling with the decision. I just needed some positive reinforcement to convince me that I should walk away from the deal.

Tis why I quit regular runs to the dealer, the stuff always calls your name like a tramp in the night, wise choice.

As a follow-up to my original post. It's funny how things turn out. I told one of my riding buddies about the Anniversary Street Glide and he traded in his 2002 Road King Classic with over 50K miles and got it. Now I get to see it every time we ride together. He even let me ride it for awhile right after he got it. BTW, I found his Road King for him as well back about six years ago. I'm really glad I listened to you guys and decided to keep my CVO. I'm also happy for my buddy because he got a hell of a bike and loves it. I liked the Street Glide but if I had traded I know that I would have always second guessed my decision. At age 63 the CVO is my last bike. Hell, when I get too old to keep it upright, I may even convert it to a trike.

...glad you made the right decision...I was gonna say...would you trade an original Chevelle SS for a Chevy Malibu all done-up?...doubt it...the SS will always be an SS and worth more...

In a word, YES! Yes, you would be crazy. Keep the CVO. It will always be a premium scoot, something that all the bling in the world can't create.
