I bought my Bub 7's used so I would be SOL anyway. But I never realized they had such a short warranty period. Not very reassuring for future purchases. Kinda makes you wonder how Cobra exhaust can offer a limited lifetime warranty.
I'm not sure what D&D's posted warranty is, but I had a Black Fatcat's paint bubble and rust and they sent me a complete new system no questions asked. A friend had a chrome Fatcat rust completely in half and break off and they sent him a complete new system after he sent them a photo.
Same thing with Rush Pipes, I had bluing issues and they replaced my set after the dealer called them.
After reading this, I'm glad I bought D&D as well. Here are their two warranty pages that came with my FatCat.
I have Bub 7's and the inner baffle came loose and rattles after 17k and 1 year and they told me the same no warranty for me .. so I live with a slight rattle at idle and won't own anything from the again
I had bub's on my last bike... I was not impressed at all with the quality. They did replace one of my tips that the chrome was flaking on under warranty but when they flaked again I was SOL. The heat shields never stayed tight either. I was always fiddling with them.
Glad i read this thread, fixin to get exhaust for my bike and narrowed it down to fatcat, bassani road rage, or bub 7 duals. Was really leaning toward the bub 7 duals but now I'm reconsidering. I know alot of the manufacturers only have a 90 day warranty but to treat your customers badly when they call and ask questions how is that good business. Think i'm gonna look around somemore before i buy, heard really good things about v&h and nothin but good stuff about fuel moto as far as quality and customer service.
We offer a 2 year warranty on Jackpot mufflers, a 3 year warranty on Jackpot stainless head pipes, and a lifetime warranty on the exhaust packing in all of our products.
