Switch over to K&N oil filters, and all you need is a 17mm socket to remove the oil filter.

KN171C is the part number for the chrome twin cam oil filters, cost about $15.

They are all I use and recommend.

A point to make with the strap wrenches, it is easier to drain the filter using this without making a mess. I use the cut out one and have to remove it while I'm doing the hole trick. For those that don't know the hole trick, I punch a hole with an awl into the very top of the filter and then spin it so the hole is down at the bottom (easy to do with strap wrench) and then poke another hole in the top again (which was the bottom before). This acts as an air hole to allow the oil to drain out of the filter into your aluminum foil or soda bottle or whatever you may use.

I purchased one from the local auto parts store for $6, I took my new HD oil filter in with me to make sure it fit. I used a 10" socket extension.
