Have my eyes on the zeppelin but never have sat on one, do they really make a difference. Have owned corbins in the past and have loved them. The corbin will be significantly more expensive..... I am sure both would be better than the stock seat that is ripping after just over a year of use - Did I just answer my own question - will the zeppelin be shoddy workmanship???
I had a Road Zeppelin on my '07 Ultra and absolutely loved the seat. I was a bit dismayed when I was nearly killed in April 2008 and my UC was totalled. I knew I would be getting back on a bike, but I didn't know when.
When I sped'd out my '09 UC in January 09...I wasn't able to buy a Road Zeppelin for the new bike because they had not come out with one yet.
In August, while in Sturgis, I saw that the MoCo finally had a Road Zeppelin for the 09 and newer bikes and my Christmas present to myself WILL be a Road Zeppelin.
The total adjustability of the seat, even just a minute amount of air makes all-day riding absolutely do-able. I had a Corbin seat on the bike previous to my '07 Ultra and it was okay, but nowhere even close to the Road Zeppelin in my opinion.
The R Z is expensive, but worth it in my opinion. I'll be buying mine from Chicago HD, unless I find a better deal elsewhere...

ditto the comfort and chicago h/d. just be aware the front nose of the rz is wide. i am 6'1" and when i have the rz on my bike (only use for road trips), i can barely put my feet flat on the ground...ride safe!!!!!
Had a mean city seat on my Ultra nice seat but had pain in my hips and left shoulder. Then purchased a RZ and went on a 300 miler with some buds and they had tostop to strech or gas, and I never felt the need. Very comfortable seat and adjustable. Never had a corbin so can't comment. Ride safe ride comfortable

Sparky01,
When you are riding with the R Z, and are in traffic or need to come to a stop, are you deflating the seat any?
I know with the previous version, it was suggested by the Mfr. that the rider deflate the "thigh zone" to ensure flat-footed stops.
I have a 33-34 inseam no need to deflate. I will deflate when taking it in for service to help the service guy out. If up all the way not flat footed but no problems.
I found my Road Zep right here on the forum. Its the only seat I've had on my current ride. I Love it, but there is one draw back, for me anyway. I don't have the height problem and can stop flat footed, its that I don't get to lead as much anymore because I don't stop enough.

for me, inflating or deflating doesn't raise or lower me enough to make a difference. love the seat for trips, but around town i like my badlander. love the look of the b/lander. the rz is soo big and the pass. pillion is so big its kinda ugly w/o a tour pak on back imo. but when i travel i am more concerned with comfort than looks...
I put a Zeppelin on my '01 Ultra Classic back in '02. When I sold that bike and bought a '07 UC I kept the seat and it went on my new '07. I sold that bike last month and the seat went with it because it wouldn't fit or look good on my Road Glide Custom. I've had Corbins but the Zep was the best seat I ever had and the ugliest. Furthest I rode on it in a day was 650 miles with no problem. It was as wide as my recliner and just as comfy. Most of the time I rode with it deflated unless on a long trip. There is a pic of it in my Album.
