Screwed tire
Found a screw in my front tire yesterday. What should I do, plug it or buck up and buy a new one? Tread is still pretty good.

Plugs should work, I've ran plugs in Corvette tires over 150 mph on race tracks during Track Days.
But when this happened to me on my Harley, I bought a new tire. Just for the peace of mind.
I guess I'm not much help. sorry.

There will be several who will say plug it, but if it was mine I would buy a new tire.
I would worry about it and there is already enough stuff to worry about out on the road.
But that's just me!

Is the chance with your life worth a $5 plug or a $150 ish tire?

I figure plugs are to get me home or someplace I can replace the tire. I wouldn't feel real secure knowing it was there.

If you have plenty of tread left have the tire patched.
