Thanks for everyone's help...I finnaly hooked up the second switch and called Jamie at FuelMoto and he gave me to maps, one for performance and the other for fuel economy. I drilled a hole in the right side cover and installed the switch there. Can't wait to test ride it for a few weeks and seei f I can tell the difference in the 2 maps.
Any suprises or recomendations? I got the pcv already set up from Jamie and never even hooked it to the computer but I'm seriously thinking about doing this.....
jamie - let me know when its slow - ill email you for my second map.. winter here , so ill have to wait till May to ride again.. I put in a oil cooler to help with heat just before i put bike to sleep for winter. Still some issue with EITMS puff of smoke.. looking for better mileage too..
Can we switch maps while we are riding ? if switch from pos 1 -2 , how fast does the map need to settle , meaning do we need to ride a few miles till the new mapp takes over ?

Send your map over and I will revise it for you. When switching maps this is an instant process when you throw the switch.
I use a harness that I built to switch the maps. I don't use the acc switch for anything else, so it energizes a relay that switches the maps. The whole thing fits under the seat and plugs into the acc connection. Works great.
I made 5 of them and sold all of the extras but one.
You can't really change the map on the fly though. Whichever map you are using whey you turn the ignition on is the one that will run till you shut it off. The PCV won't respond to a signal to switch maps while the bike is running.
If you're interested in the last harness, I'll let it go for 19.95 plus 5.00 S/H.

The maps can be changed on the fly, this can be noted right in the software under current map. If you are not seeying a map change with the bike running something is not configured correctly.
I went to Lowe's hardware store a brought a simple toggle switch for less than $5.00 already wired...just crimp 2 lead wires on the switch if you need to extend the leads from the switch. Then put the leads into the 1st and 2nd holes in the PC-V (You will have to remove the rubber cover from the back of the PC-V to connect the the 2 leads). Then when you start your bike with a laptop connected to the PC-V to the left of the screen you will see the maps change when you flip the switch. Then you will know what position your maps are in.

I'm very glad to find out you are correct. I have checked the maps before with just the ignition on, without the motor running. When you do that it doesn't switch on the fly. Tonight I started the motor and tried it again and I found just what you said,it will change on the fly. I'm glad to find out I was mistaken.

Shot you a PM last night. Do you care to share what relay you used? I already have a accessory plug but would like to find the smallest relay that would work.
I see the maps change where it says "current map" on the right sidebar but if it says current map "1" and I flip the switch it does not change unless I shut the run switch off, flip the map switch to "2" then turn the run switch back on it will then show current map to be "2". If I then switch it back to the map "1" position there is no change on the screen. Is this just the nature of the laptop computer software and it is in reality actually switching or do I have a problem that will nessitate a call to Fuel Moto? Do I need to update the sofware and firm ware for this to function?
