Has anybody here tried to adapt the Softail embossed Chrome Flamed Turn Signals (HD p/n 69844-08) to replace the stock front turn signals on the front of an Ultra? I'm curious to try the Chrome left and right mounting brackets(HD 67019-04 and 67013-04) designed for use with HD turn signal assembly p/n 68972-00. I would think with a little ingenuity you could get these brackets to bolt to the passing lamp bar much the same as the stock turn signals bolt up. These brackets would allow the flamed turn signals to sit upright as designed.
If I get this figured out I guess the next step would be to see if I could get the rear flamed turn signals(you have to buy all four)to mate up with something like the bullet rear turn signal bar that comes as part of HD p/n 53702-04A. I have not even considered this yet because I have the turn/brake light module to overcome(red lenses) and it appears it could possibly be more expensive.
If this is something you've tried, or know someone that has, I'd like to hear about it, thanks.
