Black will always be a good choice for HD......but I went with Red on my custom and get compliments alot.

 

Do they have a 2 tone Fire Red Pearl and Vivid Black? I've seen that on a FLHTC and a FLHTCUI and it is a gorgeous combination. Otherwise, go with your gut feeling on the solid color........I like 'em both.

 

Go with the Vivid Black. Harder than hell to keep clean, but wow it sure looks beautiful with the chrome.

As a beautiful girl once told my buddy who has a white bagger...

She asked, "Why did you buy white?"
His reply, "Because you don't see too many of them on the road."
Her reply, "That's because their ugly!"

I hate black............it looks great when it's clean, but keeping it clean is a real pain in the a$$. It shows the small scratches more then any other color, and it shows the dust and dirt more then any other color.

Red, white, even silver are much better colors to maintain.

I wanted black, but my wife felt that she would be wearing black and it would not accesorize well-she chose Brandy-wine-it works! Thought I was on top of the heap until I saw my first Black Pearl-that's a fine lookin bike,why don't they call it grey?

 

I thought black would kick butt!! red seems to be holding it's own. Kinda leaning toward red, still not sure tho.

 

Another vote for Deep Cobalt even though it wasn't an option, looks better than Black or Fire Red Pearl but of course that's only my opinion.

 

Black is cool, but I also like the new blue colors out now.

 

My RK Police is Mystic Green....it's all about standing out.
