Black EGlide is a timeless look for sure, heck I was in the market for one. However, in the end I went Fire Red Pearl and have gotten more compliments on it than I ever thought I would and it even matchess my wife's van. A dark blue or even the cobalt blue would have been my other first choice.
I dont have fire red pearl but I do have Brandywine. Brandywine sounds kind of wimpy. Maybe I will tell everyone that it is dynamite red or something a little more macho. Brandywine
If you are between black and fire red...what about Black Cherry? Dark enough it is close to balck...yet sparkles red in the sun. Best of both colors. Just my .02.
I like the brandywine, just call it maroon. My color of choice would be Black Cherry. However you can't get an flht in black cherry. Only black, fire red and sunglo blue. I'm currently leaning back toward black. It's timeless and will always look good and never really go out of style. There will always be somebody out there looking for a black HD. That said if the used price spread were better i'd get a cheap used cop bike and repaint it Black Cherry!! Some Cheap 06's out there so if I pull the trigger It doesn't make sense to go used.

To quote Homer Simpson..."Dohhh"! You're right...forgot the the FLHT has a limited numbers of colors to choose from.
Back in 2005 when I got my RK I was between black, black peal, and black cherry. The dealer was out of black RKs and only had a carb black pearl...so the black cherry FI RK caught my eye on that particular day...hence, I now own a black cherry RK. Good luck on the decision. Either way you cant go wrong.
