Tools? ? ? I had to buy my own, and the air pump too. After my last service I am only going to my dealer whenit is a must. In all my 47 years I was never given a tool kit from a Harley dealership I build up my tools from the aftermarket and add to it from one of my own two rollaway's
My 2006 and 2008 Ultra's both came with the tool roll. They SHOULD have also come with the air pump for the shocks, AND a second headset. What good is an intercom with only one headset?
Yeah that headset thing pissed me off! Drop $20,500 on a new Ultra (2007) and they give ONE stinkin headset! I really don't use the CB in my semi , sure as hell less likely to use on a bike , so ONLY reason I'd even take i out of the box was to talk to a passenger.
Got a tool roll with my '08 Ultra, but never use it. Purchased a aftermarket tool set I use all the time and carry with the bike. I sure wouldn't pay $89.95 dollars for the HD tool roll. How many times do you need to get it ramed in you?
I got a tool roll with my bike. I think it depends upon the dealer whether or not they throw it in. Had to buy the pump for the shocks.
If they don't throw it in I don't know what they do with the one that comes from the factory with the bike . . . It's just the Road Kings and the base level EGlide that don't come with tools (see my pvs post in this thread).
Only the fairing bikes come with tools because you have to repair the fairing brackets and remove the radio for repair quite often. Also, those bikes weigh so much and are usually so loaded down, all kinds of assorted parts break or fall off them.
