I would like to jump in and ask a question - I have an 09 SG and I have the 8" Clearview with recurve. I am 5'11" and this shield still is giving me some high speed buffeting (especially on the super slab). Is the best I can get, or is there an alternative to consider? I don't want the windshield to be way above my line of vision. Thank you for any help.
Brent.

I have both the 4" and 6.5 windvest with the recurve. I like the 4" better due to looks - and the fact that I bought a bike to actually feel "some" wind in my face. If I didn't want that I would have bought a convertible.

I have the 6.5" on the bike in the winter in order to keep me a bit warmer. Both work great IMO - guess it just boils down to personal preference, as everything does on this bikes!

Default KlockWerks

Switched out the stocker for a clear HD 9" and it keeps the wind off, but does not compliment the looks of an 09 Street Glide. Then bought the 6 1/2" Klockwerks and never looked back. It keeps the wind off my face and sets the Street Glide off nicely. They now have an 8" that will accept the HD pouches but I am not into needing a windshield bag. The 6 1/2" does everything I need it to do.

I went with the 6.5 Klock Werks and my only regret is the color. I got the smoke color but after installing I wish I had ordered the black. I am 5' 9" and can see over the 6.5 easily. I still have crosswind buffeting but that is tolerable and to be expected.

I like the Clarks Custom windshields too. Especially now that they have the flat top version. The extra width helps and helps hear the tunes if you play them. I have a Cee Baileys too. I like it in the summer more though, since the hole in the wind is a little closer to the rider. Neither present a bad problem with buffeting though. Lowers may help as well, as I've seen a number of people say on here...

I'm 5'11'' and my 9" Long Ride recurve works great. I must also say that I have an Ultra Classic, not a Street Glide so I have wind deflectors on the fairing. They deflect a lot of air away from me.
