Do you guys use it for any thing?
I just shift when it sounds like it need shifted.
I look at it once in a while but never use it for any real reason. For me it's kind of like the air temp gauge.
Dumb question..but I'm bored!
I use my Tach more than my speedo..just different riding habits I guess...dont really pay attention to the speedo I ride with the traffic or a little faster,I shift with the seat of my pants feeling..The truth about it probably is that the Tach is easier for me to see...Im an OLD FART
I use the tach all the time on the freeways of Los Angeles. I upshift when I'm cruising around or over 3K and don't like to lug the engine under 2K. Try to keep it between 2K and 3K. Like a previous thread said....guess it's just different riding styles.
