Had some on an 07. Yes they work as advertised for a basically stock or stage 1 bike. They will lower exhaust temps. Don't do anything for power as that's handled by the fuel map. When you crack the throttle you leave the closed loop mode controlled by the XIED's and O2 sensors. You can also do a little trick and run them in conjunction with a powercommander and get good fuel mileage by leaving the O2 sensors in so the bike will keep autotuning in closed loop mode. I tried it and it works fine. I run a PCV now with auto-tune modules but i have the cruise areas set to the same AFR as if the bike had the XIED's.

Got them on my 09 Ultra, they do just what there supposed to on a near stock bike, better drivability at slow speeds, a little better accelleration, (your actually running in closed loop the majority of the time) and a little cooler running, great product for the price.

I want some for my 08 Glide. You could fry bacon on the motor in the summer time!

Been running them since April on my '07 Ultra. I have found that they really don't do much as to reducing heat radiating from the engine (that you can feel). A set of No-More-Fried-Thighs or Cap'n Itch's heat shields will do you much better.

What the XIEDs have done to my STOCK bike (factory stock, no mods to engine, A/C or exhaust) is it got rid of the surging in the RPM range below 2000 RPM, a better throttle response (in the closed loop mode), my exhaust on my stock pipes/mufflers is much deeper and louder...couldn't tell until I had my bike right next to another '07 with stock pipes/mufflers...and of course, has richen up my AFR (plugs look really nice, appears to be burning well as the burn mark on the plugs is where it should be). I lost about 2 MPG overall.

For a CHEAP fast fix when operating in the closed loop mode, I find it worth every cent for what it helped with....but don't buy them if you think it will make a noticable difference in heat reduction.

I installed a set of Xied's on my 09 FLHX and love the difference in ridability. With no tuner or aftermarket a/c you'll notice that the bike feels like the clutch is slippin from a dead stop more so after new mufflers.I installed the Xied in 15 min and cut out the a/c backing plate(cheap big air) and the bike runs great.Pulls itself unlike having to feathering the clutch like before.Got mine for 102.00 includes the shipping.A+ for Xied's from my stand point and runs much cooler.

Have a set of Xied on my '08....along with the
Heavy duty breather and Rush slip-ons...........
I do notice less heat from under my a$$ and inside my thighs....
Throttle response 'seems' better at slower speeds (could be my imagination)
I'm getting between 46 and 50 mpg riding 2-up on a 400
to 500 mile ride...........can't bit$h about that !!!
