Nut Size question

actually the new torq spec for 04-06 bikes is 75FT/LBs plus an additional 45-50*. It is a gut buster to get that tight and I would guess it does end up around 190 ft/lbs. I know it is a lot more than 150 ft/lbs.

What you all are talking about. Took it apart last night, nothing "real" loose but the nut took almost no effort to back off. I brought the suff in to work today to clean up and get ready to re-assemble. I couldn't get the sprocket off though w/o removing the clutch unless there is a way I am not seeing. Is it cool to just hose that area down with brake clean to clean up the crank threads? And what color loctite should I use? Oh yea and I don't have that tool to lock the chain so can I stick a 1x2 in there to use as a stopper, I did remove the tensioner as it said to so you dont damage it tightening the comp nut.

make a tool out of a piece of 1/4" flat bar. I needs to be an inch to inch and a half wide by 7.5 long, round the ends off with a file. red lock tight. definetly want the threads as clean as you can get them.
