Anyone know what a good half cover for a Road Glide would be? I did a bit of a search and did not find a definite opinion of a good cover that is easy to put on and just keeps the bike dry while parked outside for 8 hrs at a time. I have just been letting the rain wash it for me, but I am thinking it may not be a great idea. Plus, I have to dry the seat off every time it rains even a little during the day.
which NR? The site lists 50 different covers and I have heard that some covers do not fit RG well. I did not see any option for specifing any particular model. I just saw touring, sport etc. I was just hoping to avoid buying one that fit poorly.
Why not just get a full cover? They cost no more, take no more time to put on, take up very little more room in a saddlebag and protect the whole bike. The bike certainly will stay cleaner. Half covers seem kinda foolish to me.
Gary, mine is the UV200 in XL. When I have the Tour-Pak installed, the edges of the cover can be pulled down around the lip of the saddlebag lid to provide some additional protection (my pics don't show it that way). I really like the half cover because it compresses to a very small size for traveling and has its own stuff bag for when the cover is wet.
Thanks Pastor John. I don't know why NR doesn't give more info, but I hate to buy something then ship it back to try again. I was a bit concerned because even the Harley cover does not fit the RG.
