Any spray that can be used on a Lexan or plastic will work fine. And, no paper or even bath towels! Use microfiber cloth. You can get 16 of them for about $9 at Costco.
For the inside, try to wear a doo-rag or bandana under the helmet while riding. This will help minimize the amount of sweat to your liner. It will also help reduce the helmet "shakes" while riding.
