Default Stone Guards on trailers

Are stone guards worth the money ?? I have a Kendon dual trailer and they want over 300 for a POS. After really looking at the guards, I really question how much protection them offer vs air drag.

Be Safe JIM

Maybe a sheetmetal shop can bend some up cheaper.

I know it is pricey....I have one for mine.Gives me alot of peace of mind that it has more protection.Personally i think its a good investment. Its bad enough trailering with an open trailer but to have the front not protected, well one dent in the tank ect.If you look at other major open cycle trailers i think you will find a shield of some kind. Its one thing taking a risk with your bike but i bought mine to travel with my bro. or friend and i would hate it if something happened to his bike!!! So thats my .02 for what its worth. Plus its a great place to put travel stickers!!! Mines got Daytona all over it!!!! LOL...
Actually i wish mine was 2 pieces..would be EZer to store so if you could find someome to make one that might be the ticket.
Better resale value also....Wont get your $300.00 back but i bet at least 1/2.... Kendon's Do hold there value....Price a used one!!!

I agree with the above poster. I've got one on mine, and I've had the trailer for about seven years. I've got very few chips in my paint above the stone guard. I can't help but to think that if I didn't have it I'd have a lot more dings, dents and chips.

Kinda like my stone guard! I actually tow mine behind a Jaguar! Black one.

Virtually no drag when towed since the trailer is in the backwash of your vehicle. Without that POS rock guard you'll get plenty of sandblasting from all of the stuff sent up by the towing vehicle (particularly in the winter). It'll make that $300 look pretty cheap, but it's your call.
