Well, I just put down some cash to order me a 2010 Electra Glide Ultra Limited in Merlot Sunglo/Cherry Red Sunglo. My dealer had one in stock today, but it was already sold... Dang this color combination looks 200 times better in person than it does on the HD website.
I've really enjoyed my 2007 FLHRCI and have put 56K miles on her, but it was time to upgrade and get ABS and the new frame.. the limited will give me all the bells and whistles plus the 103 motor. I'm going to have the inner fairing painted to match the Merlot Sunglo and I'm going to install the streetglide mirrors. I'm also going to install a chrome front end and floating rotors and just a few pieces of chrome. I'm going to remove the ugly fender bumpers... what a dumb thing to have on a bike in the first place. The hard part will be determing what pipes and headers I want to put on her. I'm thinking the Vance and Hines 2 - 1- 2 pipes and thunder header mufflers. I love the duels with thunder headers on my road king.
Oh well... Spring can't get her soon enough now!!!!
I'll get some pictures on her within the next month or two, but until then.. anyone else going to get one of these? If so, what color are you getting and what mods will you do first?
I've decided to go with the V&H dresser duals and thunder header muffs and Screaming Eagle Race Tuner.. pretty much the same setup I have now. Can't wait to get the bike and get the 1000 miles out of the way so that I can put the exhaust on.. I hate the stock sewing machine sounds!
Anyone out there using the 2010 dresser duals yet? If so, how do you like them? I need to call V&H and see if they put some type of a taper in the front pipe to match back pressure with the shorter pipe (rear jug pipe). If they didn't do something you would think that the back pressure would be all messed up due to the super long pipe that goes from the front jug to under the bike to the left side. Has anyone talked to them to figure out how they compensated for the super long pipe?
I'll get some pictures on her within the next month or two, but until then.. anyone else going to get one of these? If so, what color are you getting and what mods will you do first?
Scary
Picked up a Flame Blue Pearl / Vivid Black 2 months ago.
Getting ready to hibernate it now for the winter with 1700 miles on it.
I think the metal flakes in the blue will look awesome next year when Ohio gets some decent sunlight again...
Totally stock at the moment - but will be looking for a freer flowing air filter and probably touring pipes next year.
