Run away. I have never heard of ANY vehicle needing to be hooked up to a computer to program an ECU after a battery change. That is rediculous right there and a big red flag that they would say that.

Sounds like it did not need a battery at all and the dealer knew it. Needed the fobs and a woking security system, probably why they did the download, or restored the fobs if they were present using the digital tech. Not sure if radio problem is connected.TSSM ??

Never heard of a default override for the security...Harley-Davidson does not set anything on the security...All of it is done at the dealership...The last 5 numbers of the vin would not work on a lot of bikes...As you can not use a zero in the personal security code...Have a great day...

Unless this is a super super deal? And your going to get a warrenty of some kind...I would demand money back and find another ...there are tons of used Harleys out there that start right up and play music!

At this point do you really trust them?
What are your options?
Can you back out of the deal?
If not, then you need to give them an ultimatim.

First of all why no updates??, 2nd thing, you better talk to a lawyer and get your money back, if you go through with this deal and something happens no need to come back on here and talking about it, not trying to be a smart azz but realistic, you don't need a deal like this.

A LOT of dealers use the last 5 of the vin for the password some use 12345 some use 54321. When a vin is used a 1 is substituted for any 0's.
