Im glad you are ok!. State Farm is decent when it comes to accesories as long as you have documentation, pics and receipts.
Wishing you a speedy recovery

Good luck, on your health and getting any extra money.

I thought you had to have extra insurance for add ons. I don't have enough to cover everything I've done that's for sure. I think I added $5,000 worth.

A buddy of mine just got 16K for his totalled 2002 RK with 80K on the clock. You should be fine but you can put stock parts back on it & use/sell what isn't covered or damaged. He did. Good luck & glad you're OK.

I have wrecked twice one bike was a total. Cash compensation was fine. I bought a corvette with the money i got. #2 was not a total and I did repairs and got little more than the parts cost. wound up with a little upgrade.

I have progressive insurance and you have to declare the amount of accessories you have when you get the policy. Your rates are based on your coverages. The lowest coverage policy has only $1,000 for accessories.

If you have more bing ! You pay more for it.

Glad your OK. State Farm is fair but they will probable total the bike , I think if repair is over x %, which you can buy back as a salvage bike. I bought my friends 2000 Fatboy fr. him for $3k three years ago. If you can do the work yourself and get parts at a discount you can actually make money.

OK so State Farm did total the bike... they told me the bike was worth $16,250 according to NADA... so then they asked me about the H-D accessories and aftermarket parts I had on the bike. I told them I didnt have all the receipts but plenty of pics to prove what I had. They then asked me if I could get them a list of all the parts I had installed on the bike with the best description of the part and the price... I faxed them the list which was approx $9,000 total without any labor. They called me the next day and said they would pay a total of $23,450 minus my $250 deductable. That said my 2010 Street Glide is still in the crate at the dealer and I will start buying some parts for that bike next week! So after I pay off my old bike and put a couple grand down on the new bike I will have approx 8K to get this new bike as sharp as my 07... or even sharper!

Glad to hear! I have State Farm on all the vehicles, house, and tools. We have had the same agent for 20+ years and the few times I have needed them there was never a problem.

Glad you are OK and an early congrats on the new scoot.
