Default Memphis Shades fairing

Went riding with a guy yesterday that had one on a '96 RK. I've been considering getting a fairing for my '99 RK, but I didn't want to drop a lot of dough for one. After seeing his, I ordered one tonight. Total for the fairing, mounting kit, windshield, and lowers was $368.00. You can barely by a windshield from Harley for that much. I liked the way this guy's looked and fit, and the price was right. My bike is black, and they come shipped that color, so I won't have to pay to have it painted. Of course there is no inner fairing for mounting radios and gauges, but I don't need music to ride by anyway. Just looking for a little more protection from cold weather riding. And it comes off just like a windshield, so I can put the windshield back on in the summer.

Does anyone else have one of these? How do you like it?

I'll post some pics when I get it on the bike.

Rowle, thanks for the link. That post answered my question about whether or not I'd be able to use my HD windshield with the new mounting hardware.

Got the fairing today. Had it assembled and mounted on the bike in about an hour. Fits great, looks great. I'll give it a couple hundred mile road test this Sunday. Looks like it was a great deal for the money!

How does the black color match look, I'd be really interested if I did'nt have to pay for paint. Let us know after your ride how you like it.
Thanks
