Thinking about a gauntlet fairing. Love riding with the windshield but don't like the appearance. Does the gauntlet do anything for the wind? I know it won't be like the windshield but is as bad as with nothing at all? Without the windshield I get fatigued at higher speeds as if I'm fighting to stay on the bike.
I was just about to list my Memphis Shades Gauntlet with mounting hardware in the classifieds section if you're interested.
It got the wind off my chest, but I personally couldn't find a sweet spot to where I didn't experience buffeting. It's got great reviews though, just didn't work out for me.
I just installed the fairing last week and took out yesterday for a short ride. It took a lot of wind off the chest, but was smacking me in the face (i need a full face helmet). I was told to tilt it forward a little more that it would create a higher pocket, will be giving that a try.

I have both, and the windshield is on quick release clamps, not the same clamps as the fairing. bad weather or long distance windshield, short trips nice weather fairing.
Well I ordered one through a friend that got me a decent discount. (Sorry torpedo). I also ordered a laminar lip to go on it. Hopefully the two will work well together and look better than my windshield. I will keep the windshield for long trips.
