Default Something Weird Happened

About a week ago I took my 05 RoadGlide for a 30 mile ride. As I was pulling back into the driveway I heard my starter spinning so I shut it down and coasted into the garage. I started it back up once I was in there and after it ran for a few minutes it did it again. It is not grinding like the gear is engaging but it was spinning. I was wondering if anyone has had this problem or could lead me in a starting point to fix the problem. Thanks to all and GOD Bless.

I would start by checking the starter button on the handlebar. Might be sticking. A faulty solenoid or even a weak battery can wreak havoc as well and make the starter act funny. How's your battery condition? A bad starter clutch would generally cause a grinding noise.

Starter button is the weakest point! start there. next look for a shorted wire. JMHO

Wink Thanks

Thanks Guys now that I think about it the problem may be in the Switch. The wires were really jammed in there when I put the Chrome covers on it and also I think I have the original battery in the bike. As always you folks are great. GOD Bless all of you!!!
