I JUST had my new Boom Speakers installed a few days ago by dealer. I had my bike in for 1000 mile maintenance, and dealer had to open fairing anyways to re-seat odometer button that fell into fairing. I have a 2012 Ultra Limited. I rode all weekend and am VERY VERY pleased with new speakers. I had both the fairing speakers and tour pak speakers replaced (did not add amp at this point).

In my opinion the Boom speakers are WAY better than the stock speakers. They are definitely louder at same volume settings...and to me the increased fidelity (highs and lows) are well worth the additional cost. In a test I turned volume up to nearly 100%...with very liitle or no distortion.

I would do it again in a heartbeat.

So what are the "Bass Ports?"

I have two buds with Ultras that have the Boom speakers. They are very pleased with the improvement over stock.

HD now offers the Boom for 06 and older batwings. They are definately better than stock hands down BUT, the hogtunes are better than Booms

Challenger, are you running the hogtunes in your '04? I am thinking of switching the stock speakers in my '05 Ultra, was looking at the booms.
