Default Boom Audio Speaker upgrade, worth it??

I am wondering if anyone has taken the plunge and tried the new Boom Audio Speakers from Harley: http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...4&default=none I own a Ultra and was thinking about upgrading my system with either the Hog Tunes Speaker Pods or these. Or would both be even a better option??

And feedback on these new speakers would be appreciated.

Thanks!

T

for just a little more, you can get the J M audio 7.25s and I know you will be happy with them

I just installed hogtunes in my SG & I'm VERY happy with the sound. I think they're cheaper than the boom speakers too.

My Street Glide came with them installed from the dealer. They sound much better and cleared than the stock speakers.

I just put the Boom Audio speakers on my 09 Street Glide. They do give a lot cleaner sound when going down the road. I can hear things I didn't with the stock speakers. The stock speakers would crackle when I was at speed and my girlfriend couldn't hear them unless we were stopped. She rode with me once and she can hear them with her helmet visor down. The volume was actually lower than the stockers too. I think they were a nice upgrade. Plus you can take them to a HD dealer if you have problems.

I installed the Boom Audio speakers about a year ago. I was talked into them by my dealer. I was okay with them (not thrilled) at first but now one is crackling. I just ordered Hogtunes Big Ultra kit. A friend has them and they sound great. Also, I just visited my dealer who have upgraded a RG they have on the floor with Hogtunes, not Boom Audio.
