Question for anyone who has installed redshift 575 cams. Are these a bolt-in with no head-work? Also do they produce any valve-train clatter? They were recommended to me by Zippers as an alternative to the Andrews 54H.which I was originally considering. My bike is a 07 FLHR with D&D fatcat, tts, Big sucker A.C. and no headwork. Thanks.
nice cams,we`ve done a couple builds with them, great midrange, you`ll need springs and check valve to valve & valve to piston, but we`ve always been ok (but ALWAYS check)

I have the 575's. The stock springs will work just fine. You will need adjustable pushrods though and cannot use the stockers. I do not have any headwork done and it is considered a bolt in cam. I will be doing a 103 kit soon and Zippers indicates that if you go 103 with the 575's that you have to use dished pistons. They will also work with a 110 as well. The Zippers sleeper build uses 575's, wiseco reverse dome 9:1 pistons and no headwork. This is what my 103 will be as well. The only other thing that I have is the EVO 30 tooth that gives me more off the line.
If I remember correctly Dawg kept his stock springs. He's a cheap bastage, so that may be the reason why.
LOL....j/k, I think the stock springs max out with .575 lifts.
Actually I built my cams with parts I stole from my mother's basement The stock springs actually will go as high as .600 lift, not that I would do it though.
stock springs will have the spring travel to coilbind, but not near enough seat pressure, defenatly not recomended for a .575 lift cam (can you say "valve float!!"
