How much does your stealer charge for a chrome filter. 16.99 plus tax at mine.

Okay but this SHOULD be changed at every oil change.

Price sound about right but I rarely buy just a filter so don't pay attention.

About $12 at Zanotti Motors. Just order a few when you order some other "stuff" and the shipping will be reasonable....
Just a thought...

Why not just get a chrome oil filter cover?

Yep, same here. That one was my bike's first and last..I'm not throwing money in trash every oil change just to have a blingin' oil filter.

I put a chrome on once. Then I started to do things to cool off the heat the engine put out during the hot summer rides. One thing I did was put black filters on from that point forward. Black helps dissipate a little of the heat better than the chrome, which helped with being stuck in traffic situations.

Plus everybody says black is faster, and I figured that a little more black would increase my speed a little more
