Default Leak from primary.....

Hey all,
Have a 06 Street Glide...just turned 2K (1K was just put on from a 3 day trip through the Pennsylvania mountains). Anyway, was almost back home and noticed a small amount of fluid leaking from the primary - upon cleaning and inspecting the area I see it is coming from the split between the inner and outer primary, probably a gasket? The bike is still under warranty obviously, so I have made an appointment with the dealer to have them look at it. The reason for my post here is because I was wondering if anyone else here has had this problem with such low miles. I usually do my own work, but why pay for a new gasket and spend my time when they can do it for me for free? I just hope the bike doesn't sit on someone's lift for a week or have a tech hand me some line of bull thinking I don't know my rearend from a hole in the ground regarding my ride.
Any input appreciated....

Read enough on here to know that there have been a few with leaks and all the complaints aside, they have "eventually" been fixed.

Besides that if they have come out with better parts to adress a problem you might not get those parts or know to get them if you were doing the work yourself.

I've just been through the same situation on my 06 SG. Twice. 500 miles into the bike it started leaking. First they replace the seal on the main shaft. Just left the dealership for the second fix. They found a needle bearing that had walked it's way off of a shaft coming through from the tranny, and that rubbed against the seal. So they replaced everything and it sounds like it's good to go. They had never seen anything like it. It didn't leak until the bike was really warmed up too. The factory assembly had a glitch in it so that's that...

Might be something to check on.
