Default Hog tunes advice

I have a 09 Electra Glide Classic. I am seriously considering the Hog Tunes, but the stock speakers dont really sound that bad. I am trying to justify the upgrade. Are the Hog Tunes really that much better?

Cool Hog Tunes made a HUGE difference!!!

I did the install, just replacing the speakers, better sound, better volume, highly recommend them...

For me, I think they are better. It was hard for me to tell because I'm more the kind of person who needs to hear one and then the other right away. I do think my cd's sound better and louder.

Made a big difference for me. Did the speaker upgrade fairing, rear speaker pods and added the tweeter pod to faring. 09' EGU. May do the lower faring speaker and amp add on but haven't as yet. Very noticable diff at freeway speeds. Stock speakers started losing clarity at about 60 mph. The new speaker set up doesn't start losing clarity till around 80 to 90 mph. Both systems did well around town.

I have the speakers and later upgraded to the Hogpod which was a seriously sweet addition. You may want to consider going with the Hogpod (tweeterpod) first, they will work perfectly fine with your stock speakers. They look and sound awesome.

I had the hogtunes front speakers and amp, great people and good product, check out other products first before you buy and compare the amps. Bazooka, Arc, Hawgwired, I have been looking at the 4 channel bazooka amp, I now have changed the front speakers to bazooka, getting another set for the rear and the amp, as soon as I get home from Afghanistan. Just my 2 cents worth.

Here you go...

I just went for a complete audio set up, here it is:
Sony MEX-BT 3700u - buy.com $158 delivered

Hogtunes speakers and amp item #4405-0171 - AmericanClassicMotors (e-bay) $244.95 delivered

Hogtunes tweeter bar item # 4405-0172 - AmericanClassicMotors (e-bay) $118.95 delivered

Biketronics retro install kit item #BT-1002 - American ClassicMotors (e-bay) $177.95 delivered (this item for a '07 SG)

Biketronics splash cover item 3 BT66 - Biketronics (over phone) $19.99 Ship?

I think these prices are terrific

(Keep in mind that these parts were ordered for a 2007 Street Glid)

Hope this helps
PS. Dave at American Classic Motors is outstanding

I've run Hogtunes and they are a great system and Pez is great to deal with. However, I wanted and needed a system with some ummph and ended up with Hawg Wired speakers and amp. WOW.. X 2. Actually on my second setup (Hawg Wired) in as many bikes and cannot recommend it enough. NOT cheap, but WELL worth it.
