Mine started to act up after it was washed. Then it started to do exactly what your is doing. I unplugged the roll of switch on the throttle cable, located on the neck and that took care of it. So I need a new throttle cable. I just left mine unhooked as I never used the throttle roll off. Try starting there 1st.

Good Luck

Same here. Something was loose in behind the button. I just wiggled the switch while applying some pressure and all has been good since then.

The cruise control has a self diagnositc. It will tell you which switch is not working. Follow the manual. It is simple.

I had the same issue. Also occurred when i met semi's on windy days. The problem was a torn boot over the cruise control sensor in the switch housing.
Some folks, who have heavy leather lever covers, the braids tend to catch wind and cause lever to actuate brake lights and trip cruise control off.
