I had to take a last minute trip to Florida to deal with a personal family matter. So I figured if I could, maybe I would be able to rent a scoot and at least have a little R&R while I was there. When I called the local dealership to request a bagger, I was informed that the MoCo was recalling the '09 & '10 models because of the fuel tank issue and no dealers had any baggas to rent. They had everything else so I got a Heritage. I found it to be a fairly nice handling scoot but mama wasn't as comfortable on it as she is on my 'lectra Glide Classic. Well we made the best of it but afterward she told me that I spoiled her with the EGC.
Well at least you got to ride. A buddy of mine is cumming up from MN this summer.
and checked into renting a bagger while up dealer want's 250/day he about shat!
Hope you got a better deal down there.
It was $290.00 + $75.00 for Loss Damage Waiver for a 3 day rental. What I don't understand is I think there are just 2 Fly 'n Ride locations in Florida, yet just about every dealer rents scoots. So what is the difference?
The Fly-n-Ride program are bikes supplied to the dealer from the Moco, so they own the bikes and the dealer rents them out and maintains them. You make your reservation through HOG and they send the paperwork to the dealer. The other dealers rent out their own bikes and are quite a bit more expensive. The Fly-n-Ride is a pretty good deal IMO.
