Ordered New Limited
Life's been kind of a roller coaster for me the last year. I bought an '09 Ultra just in time to get a death sentence medical diagnosis. Doc's said I'd probably not ride again (hell, they thought I might be dead by this time). I hated to sell the bike, but it turned out for the best.
Thankfully, a couple surgeries and some good medicines have turned things around. I don't know if I'll be able to do the miles I've done in the past, but I've decided that a new bike is in order. So I ordered a new Ultra Limited today. It should ship on February 3.
Thanks to Brian at Zion HD for his help. They have a Black Ice over Black Limited on the floor, and I almost went for it. I wanted to see a Merlot Sunglo over Cherry Sunglo and he hooked me up with Darrel; a new Limited owner in southern Utah. I don't know if Darrel is a member on this forum, but if he is ... thanks for showing me your beautiful bike today. The Merlot/Cherry combination is perfect!
As you can tell, I'm not only excited to be alive but I'm pretty excited to be able to get back in the saddle. Looks like this is the year for my Alaska trip. I can also hopefully get fully back into my yearly cross-country jaunt, and the Limited should be a great ride for the job.
I'll post pics in February when I pick up the bike. In the mean time, I'll have to settle for an older bike I've got in the garage and a few short trips. Should be fun planning the trips during the rest of the winter and shopping for new toys.

Doc, glad to hear there was some good news for you. Congrats on your new ride, I hope you put many many miles on it.
